Session at GeeksHubs on "bad smells"

A talk on technical debt, bad smells, and strategies for improving legacy code in projects that have grown too fast.

Bad SmellsRefactoring

I was recently invited by GeeksHubs to give a talk about the kind of topics I usually cover in my books.

On December 10 I had the wonderful experience of speaking in a one-hour session on a topic I really like. We titled it “Introduction to bad smells and ten strategies for improving legacy code”, taking advantage of the recent publication of my latest book, “Legacy Code: How to modernize inherited code or software projects that have grown too fast”, which seems to be generating a lot of interest. It indicates that the scenario of improving legacy code is more common than I thought.

Here I leave you the link to the video on YouTube, although I also include it embedded here:

It was a great experience to speak live in front of so many people.

I want to thank Manu and Verónica from GeeksHubs for allowing me to talk about technical debt and give an introduction to bad smells.
